WHAT WE DO

Committed to exposing to students the medicinal world beyond the confines of the classroom walls.

Future Faces of Medicine is an organization that seeks to educate, encourage, and engage students who are interested in medicine. We do so through a multitude of means: providing opportunities for students to volunteer at local hospitals, animal shelters, and nursing homes; touring and exploring local and national laboratories; organizing field trips to observe surgeries; conducting both small- and large-scale dissections; inviting guest speakers; discussing and debating bioethical issues; and organizing personal projects for each member based on their interests and skills.

We strongly believe that not only education but also empathy are two necessary ingredients in creating a truly great health care provider. We strive to create that setting - one of lasting intellectual vitality as well as a persisting emotional acknowledgement of others' adversities - in our own club, and to permanently translate it into our personal interactions beyond our meetings and events.
